BACKGROUND

Al-A’awan Health Center & Maternity home is one of the establishments of Jama’atu Ta’awunil Muslimeen that is dedicated to health department of the Jama’at.
Al-Awan was established in the year 2001and was officially declared opened by his spiritual eminence Sheikh Abdul Baki Muhammad,  chief missioner of Islaudeen missionary association of Nigeria on the 1st of July, 2001. The commissioning programmed was also graced by other Islamic scholars from Iwo town and it’s environ.

REASONS FOR ITS ESTABLISHMENT

Having studied and understood the agony and stress the Muslim populace, especially women in purdah are undergoing in receiving adequate health care by the parental owner of the said health facility, Jamaatu Taawunil Muslimeen. It is then they deemed it fit to establish Islamic hospital. This hospital is meant to serve as worthy alternative to the Non-Islamic existing one. Where Muslims especially women in purdah were been molested and religiously ridiculed before been given inadequate service. Elderly Muslims scholars need day to day private consult for early detection of any health problem and prompt treatment. This service can only be rendered well by Islamic hospital and Muslim health workers that understand the importance of these Sheikhs. Health information dissemination to the targeted people at appropriate time is of paramount importance, because study shows that larger percentage of Muslim populace usually fall victims of preventable diseases due to the lack of adequate information about their health condition at appropriate time.
